Association Board Meeting -- Minutes
February 13, 2007
The meeting was called to order at 7:45p by President Larry Murchan at the home of Charles Jones.
Board members present: George Zhu, Cathy Draper, Charles "Chappie" Jones, Larry Murchan, Jenny Hsieh, Gabe Trejo, and Sigi Illes

Welcome
- Tonight our focus is on finalizing the general meeting agenda for Feb. 28th and newsletter creation and distribution

Treasurer's Report
- Balance as of January 31, 2007: $1,602.54
- 2007 Membership is the same: 19 Members -- 7 new and 12 renewed

- The following agenda was created based on the topics generated during the last meeting and was finalized collectively by board

- Currently there is only 1 M-P parent helping with traffic direction, we need more help from parents and neighbors
- Blocked driveways are becoming a nuisance

- Larry: Contact Pete Constant's office regarding city support for tree removal
- Cathy: Include a tulip tree insert with the MNA newsletter covering background, maintenance, treatment options, trimming, removal, planting, and sidewalks
- Tree removal should only be an option when treatments have been exhausted with no results

- Benefits of a Neighborhood Association and active involvement (5 m)

- Either Pete Constant or Paul Higgins would be present to give an announcement and answer questions

- Larry will propose a speaking schedule for the general meeting
- Will be held at Lynbrook High School in the library

- Cathy will send polished draft to board for review

- George has volunteered to be in charge of printing
- We need approx. 900 copies of the 4 page newsletter
- The city has sponsored us before through the Foxworthy Printing Center
- Newsletter Distribution
- Gabe will work with Doug Johnson to coordinate flyer distribution
- We hope to have distribution done by no later than Tuesday
